The confluence of the genius composer Muralidharan and impeccable singer O S Arun has created an unique musical landscape called Anjaneeyam visually presented by Smt Deepa Mahadevan Muralidharan the renowned composer has composed a series of dance albums

like SriKrishnam on Lord Krishna, Srichakram on the She Goddess, Shadakshsaram on Lord Muruga, Shanthakaram on Lord Vishnu, Anjaneeyam follows that series and is dedicated to Lord Anjaneya. Lord Anjaneya is viewed by many as the loving companion God with whom one can take many liberties.

Jaya Maruthi Kavithvam

Hanuman is synonymous with Victory and succcess. This kavithvam glorifies that attribute of Hanuman. The five elements being the blazing fire, the blowing wind, the flowing water, the streching skies and the sprawling ground beneath bow down to lord Hanuman. He knows the wisdom of acting at the right time and staying low for instructions at other times. He is the one who even the God of death fears, he is the God of our times- Kaliyuga Deivam. Varnam Adiyaarkellam Adiyan

Anjaneya is a true servant of all the true worshippers of Rama. This varnam traces his story from birth, his union with Lord Rama and his flight across the ocean to meet Goddess Sita at Ashoka vanam. The varnam elaborates the confrontation between Lord Hanuman and Ravana resulting in Hanuman setting fire to Lanka. The entire story of Ramayana in Hanuman’s perspective is brought out lyrically and musically by Guru Madurai R Muralidharan in this composition.

Kai koopi Thozum Deivam

Lord Hanuman the epitome of humility is the one and only god who addresses all with folded hands unlike the Abhaya Hasta. He gives great strength and extends a strong hand to pull his devotees out of trouble. The only way to reach him is with truth and faith.
