Here’s a compelling rendition of a portion of one of the most sacred and ancient scripts in the history of Hinduism, the Bhagavad Gita, which is encompassed by the Mahabharata. Cho’s Bhagavad Geethai is an album which contains 18 chapters from the Bhagavad Gita, a 700-verse Hindu scripture that is set within the narrative structure of a conversation between Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu (a supreme Hindu deity), and the Pandava prince, Arjuna. These heavenly verses have been introduced by noted playwright and comedian, Cho Ramaswamy, and sung by Kausalya Sivakumar, a singer with a mesmerizing voice.
