Bhagavad Gita’: This programme is an outcome of a profound yearning of Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam to express in a concrete form the most abstract philosophy of our unparalleled Hindu contribution to humanity at large. She performs both as Krishna and Arjuna in her usual Banika style. She has epitomised the 18 chapters and compiled the programme as consisting of four sequences. Dr.Padma Subramaniam gives a bird’s eye view of the content of Gita utilising 78 out of 700 slokas from the original text in Sanskrit. She hopes that her theatrical presentation of the Bhagavad Gita would inspire the spectator to go deeper into the bed of our Hindu ocean.
