Smt. Vishakha Hari is an established exponent of Harikatha which has earned her the title of “HariKatha Choodamani”. She is a prominent Carnatic music vocalist & an “A” Grade artist of All India Radio. Smt. Vishakha Hari is the disciple of the legendary Carnatic violinist, Padma Vibhushan, Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. Her spiritual guru is her Father-in-law Sri Sri Krishna Premiji (Sri Sri Anna) & she has also been mentored by her husband Sri.Hariji. Harikatha, also called Khatakalakshepam, is a composite art-form of storytelling. It has hitherto been the bastion of elderly men but she is reviving this dwindling art- formwith gusto.She is at home in the temple town of Srirangam near Trichy, which is a bastion of Srivaishnavites. She has presented across all major cities of India & overseas (US, London, Singapore, Dubai ), and is the recipient of several awards & titles including HARIKATHA CHOODAMANI, THYAGARAJA PRATHIDWANI, WOMAN PAR EXCELLENCE & YUVA KALA BHARATHI.
